A fuel filter problem....
Rust.... I'm changing fuel filters. The connections are rusted together. When I tried to loosen them, the fuel line started to twist (d'oh!). Anyways, I'm going to try good ol' WD-40 and let it sit for a while. If this doesn't work, does anybody have any ideas? I don't want to have to replace the fuel line!

As far as how much rust is on the underside of your car......It really depends on what kinda conditions the car had been driven in. lots of rain, but more so winters with a lot of salt on the roads woll hurt the underside the most
