Thanks Tas!

A friend is selling me a set of Comp Cams self-aligning 1.5 roller tip rocker arms for $50.

I have no idea if they would work. Thanks.

Center bolt heads? What is that?

Are you suggesting vortec heads?

Thanks, i'm more confused now.

let me clarify...
I want to use 305 TPI heads on my LO3. The heads will be rebuilt, ported and polished. I was wondering if you'll could help if the 1.5 roller tip rocker arms will work for the 305TPI heads...

Thanks!

"Center bolt" heads have the valve cover bolts down the center and are 1987 - 92 3rd gen. Non-Center bolt heads are 86 and earlier 3rd gen. I have the Comp Cams 1.52 MAGNUM roller tip rockers in my '86. Piece o' cake.

Not to get all emotional but, thanks I apreciate your input.
So, I have center bolt heads. I understand now. It all makes sense.

Now I just have to HOPE that my friend won't sell me the wrong kind, because all I know is that they're:

CompCams-
1.5 roller tip
self-aligning rocker arms...

It's only the centrebolt that require S/A rocker arms. Normal SBC rockers will work as long as you use guideplates, too. I don't know how hard it is to add guideplates to centrebolt heads, tho.
Anyways, yes, those rockers will work.
