Fuel Pressure gauge

I am going to turn my FPR into an AFPR when I get my car back in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone has managed to mount a gauge somewhere that it may be viewed at any time. Since I'm pretty sure it would have to be mounted after the regulator.

from what i have seen you can just mount it in-line. you can get an electric one and mount it in your car, or mount it just in the engine compartment, or if you have a cowl-induction hood you can mount it somehow so its in the cowl.

You mount it in the larger fuel line coming to the engine. Sorry about the photo quality. It has an under the hood Summit quage (with oil turned brown) and an in the car guage to monitor while driving.

No time slips and haven't hooked up the g-tec lately. It runs strong but I'm still tuning the prom for better results then I'll try for some times.

I have had it up to 130 and still pulling

No I did not have the heads milled and don't think that it's necessary.

LOL

The speed limiter has a setting in TunerCat called "fuel cut off speed". I set it at a speed that will never be attained.

That was the first 305 chip mod that I did

But won't the fuel pressure before the regulator and the pressure after the regulator be different?

sure it will. You can tap into the line from the pump anywhere before the regulator. The regulator controls the pressure of the supply line, like a pressure relief valve. Everything upstream of the regulator is pressurized, everything downstream is not.
Of course, the inside mounted fuel pressure gage uses an isolator so fuel line is not coming into the passenger compartment. Autometer makes such a unit in the Summit catalog.

there is mine. if you dont have the stainless fuel lines, you can just put an inline in the same spot using some rubber lines. or you can tap into the ~12" rubber line near the "frame rail".

obviously, you cant see it at "all times", but you can see it with the hood open.
