Cam Swap - New intake manifold??

Well, I am setting up to swap my cam this spring/early summer. Now, I know there are a lot of "What do i need" and "How do I do it" posts, I am not asking that. What I ask is what type of power gains would I be looking at with a LT1 cam and an edelbrock manifold (and which one, performer or performer RPM?) vs just the cam swap? I figure since i got the top half all apart, if it would be worth the cash, I might as well stick a new manifold on there! YOu might notice that car in my sig is stock. I am doing the cam swap first because I have no money, and headers, and cat backs and what not are expensive. Although I do have a dual snorkle air cleaner on there (with out the duct work, regretably...). Thank you for any insight!

EDIT - Should I get one with or with out EGR, emmissions are not a concern (Michigan), but I heard that the way the computers timing curve is set up, blocking EGR will hurt performance...

Blocking EGR is bad unless you can burn your own PROMs. I've heard the RPM Air Gap does really well on the LO3.

Don't you run into problems getting the RPM Air Gap to fit under the hood & with the TBI setup? Not that it can't be done, I mean, just that it requires some annoying modification? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere here...

Well, I was thinking performer RPM, but unless I am wrong, I think it blocks EGR
Um, whats up with the performer? Or maybe edelbrocks TBI intake. Would either of them offer any gains?

Alright, after very mild research, it seems that the performer RPM blocks EGR, and that a EGR compliant performer RPM is unobtainable, is this true? Also, if I was to get a performer intake fer the L03, it should be Edelbrock part number 3706, right? I have also heard that the TBI manifold by edelbrock will actually hurt top end?? Is that so?
One more thing - I dunno, maybe I wopuld have to call em, but Holley PN 17-45 would be the adapter I would need to run my stock TBI unit with the perfromer intake, right? (http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...IA/Access.html for PN's). Thanks for the help!

The intake I found for an LO3 from Summit is the Edelbrock Performer for Chevy 262-400 (EGR) pn# EDL-3701 $139.95

That was in the Catalog good through Feb 28, 2002

SO you'll probably have to check the new one.
