This is for a freind - I am working to piece together a dual snorkle.... So, he wants a open air cleaner fer his L05 suburban, and he needs a non drop base in order to clear distributer w/o a extra spacer and what not. What would the PN be fer a 14X3 edelbrock non-drop base? maybe a 10", or 12" non drop - summit, nor edelbrocks site depicts where the base is drop, or flat - so I am baffled... Thanks for any help!

 

I'm using the Moroso 14x3" Flat Bottom Air Cleaner.Part#65911, $47.99 at Summit.
No Spacer Required.
Clears stock hood (even with 1/4" taller intake manifold)

Thanks Rich - but I dunno if hood clearance is much of an issue fer his L05 'Burbon... 50 seems high - why not spend a little more and get k and n? Anyone got the Edelbrock non-drop base pn? Those are pretty reasonable...

 

I went to my local performance shop and got a flat base (just the base) for about $9.00!
What a difference! I love the flat base.

Where can I get a spacer for my open element?

 

Most auto parts stores carry them (in plastic)
Ask for an air cleaner spacer for 5-1/8" carburetor.
Sometimes they sell a set with three different heights.
Factory metal ones are all over the junkyards.

check out this edelbrock flat base. It comes with a k&n. I have this on both of my camaros. you can order it from advance or autozone for $70.
