lt1 head casting numbers

Anyone know of any good sites that will have information pertaining to the casting numbers on lt1 heads? I'm looking for some heads here locally and across the border, but it would be easier if I just had the casting numbers.
Thanks ahead of time!:hail:

er-uum,.. may I ask why? Making LT1 heads fit on a L03 is a MAJOR task.

It wouldnt be pretty getting the cooling to work, but Im pretty sure I heard of a magazine that put LT1 heads on a gen 1 small block. Honestly dont remember the name though.

The Vortec L31 heads are the same as the LT1s. It would be an easier swap for sure.

uhm I just finished installing headers on my 305 tbi. If its easier to hook up some vortecs then I'm all for it. I'll need some casting numbers for the vortec heads.

The L31s are the same as the LT1s? Everything is the same aside from the cooling issues and any other little nuances?

Not exactly the same. L31s were based off of, and are improved versions of LT1 and LT4 heads. L31 has a heart shaped chamber and taller and narrower ports than Gen2, LT1, LT4 heads. LT1 intake ports are the same shape as old heads. LT4 intake ports got a little taller and have a scallop in the center to aid in fuel flow. You can see the final result of all these head improvemnts in LS1 heads with their super tall and narrow ports and scalloped roof to guide fuel flow.

Ok, I thought you posted that before so I thought the intake ports were different. Thanks
