My Mini-Ram is sucking in oil
Ive noticed that the inside of my Mini-Ram's plenum is coated with a thin film of clean oil. What I think is happening is when I rev it to 6250 RPM, it sucks oil from the valve cover breather into the intake. Ive also noticed that my dipstick is starting to spit up just a tiny amount of oil too. Im sure I have some kind of a crank case venting problem but Im running the stock TPI breather set up from the pass. vavle cover to the TB, and Ive got a bran new PCV valve too. Anyone have an idea on what I should do? Thanks!!
Pick up an aftermarket filter/breather from any parts place and stick it in the valve cover where the stock breather setup went. Also do your valve covers have baffles? This is a fairly common problem on unbaffeled valve covers.

Open breather on passenger side and a new PCV valve on the driver side. I gots no problem with oil in the intake tract with that type of setup. You don't even have to worry about any PROM repercussions since you are SD.....

Where does the PCV feed the MR? If it feeds into the plenum, or course you could be getting a think oil film in there. If your dipstick is popping up too, maybe you are starting to get some worn rings contributing to high crankcase pressure.

Do what I did. Put a breather on each valve cover. Too much at risk when the TB is using air from the passenger side valve cover. Furthermore, most new PCV valves I have purchased have not worked. Heh heh - SUCK and then BLOW on a brand new PCV valve. It should only go one way. Furthermore, although PCV is good for low rpm vacuum, its not the best thing to do for high RPM crankcase ventilation.

Actually TRAXION I was going to put the 2 breathers on my stock centerbolt valvecovers, but was wondering where I could get some that would fit my stock covers. I think Ive seen breathers that replace the oil cap. I do have my PCV feeding the plenum of my Mini-Ram, and I do proably have worn rings too. She's got 90,000 mi on the stock L98 lower end.
