Whats most miles youve gotten out of your 3rd gen?

Just wondering whats the most youve gotten out of that old engine. Im sitting at 207,000 miles and its still running great. Just wont start. I have a very very slight valve stem flaw. But other than that it still hauls!!!!!!!!!!! So please share your miles.

I'm around 202,000 miles. From what I've been told from the previous owner, it's on it's 3rd motor, and at least it's 2nd tranny. And I'm currently in the process of fixing the overheating issues. It's also running lean, but I think I might have an exhaust manifold leak. But it runs alot harder since I replaced like 20ft of vacuum hoses and changed the fuel filter. Today I whooped on a ford excursion. When I made a turn the passanger stuck his torso out the window flipped me of and screamed "F*** YOU!". I was proud of my "tired old 305 with a 2.7 posi"

I'm sitting at 116K right now. Although I have no doubt that she could run great all the way to 200K... we prolly wont make it there before I finish building a 383 stroker

232,183 miles before I rounded of the speedo gear in the tranny. I've been driving for almost 1 1/2 years(my daily driver) since. Stock motor, looking forward to the next 200,000+

not as many as the last 2 but as you can see in my sig. my 90' has 186k+. It is my daily driver 64 miles to work and back every day. I've been expecting it to quit for the last 50k miles now, but it still cranks up every time I turn the key (knock on wood). It's starting to leak fluids more quickly now but still doesn't seem to burn any oil between changes, just leaves it on the floor in my garage.

...

I've got 133k on my 88 firebird with the stock 305 w/tpi. It runs very nice, but burns a little oil(valve seals)....

My 87 Firebird has clocked 179k, with the only major work being a valve job about 1000 miles ago, and the addition of long tube headers.... runs VERY strong.

O.K., it's not a 3rd gen, but our 90' Caprice w/ a Cop 350 has 231,000 and that's after being driven by the Sheriff's Department for the first 100,000 miles. TC is starting to go though, and just last week we noticed a trans pan leak....oh well, I would say I got my $1,500 worth, but it sure wouldn't win any beauty contest.

218,000 on original motor, no smoke. Replaced the 700 with a T56 last year. Driven daily 35 miles each way to work.

A bit over 230,000 miles on the original 2.8, don't know how many on the third 700r4 that's in there, and don't know how many miles on the rear that's on it.

87 IROC

My 87 IROC is clocking in at about 177k on the original 305, and original T-5 trans.. I also have a valve seal issue, but other than that it still runs good..

My GTA has 160,000 on it and still runs 14.1 @ 98 mph in the quarter. I've run Mobil 1 in it since I bought it 8 years ago. The car still looks and drives great. Keep up with maintenance and cars will last way past 100k.

My brother's '86 Firebird SE with the 2.8 V6 is coming up on 300,000 miles...the engine & transmission have never been apart. He used to drive it all over Ohio as part of his old job (network supervisor). It doesn't have to do that anymore, but he still drives it everyday.
