I got a engine out of a Z28 and I have found so many numbers on it when I stripped it down. I drove it before I took it out of the Z28 and it feels like a 350. But if it is a 305 I have never seen one with that much *****. I got these numbers that I might think. If not does anyone know where to find the identification numbers?

I have a little 3 with a circle around it then I have 14010201

what year Z28 did you get it out of? also is that the orginal motor of the Z28?

 

It's a 305. I looked up that casting number on www.mortec.com. They've got lots of good info. Glad to hear it's got some *****. Not quite 350 *****, but ***** none the less.
