Out of gas???

I have had a lot of trouble with my gas gauge lately or maybe it is something else!? OK My gauge reads that I should have at least 10 Leaters of gas left but my car suddenly starts choaking and dies !
When I try to start it up it starts again and works fine but when I shift in gear it USUALLY (Not always) dies again. I was able to drive like this for 10 miles the other day before I got to the gas station. What gives?! Im thinking that there is something wrong inside the tank .

Help please this really sucks!

Well, it could be a few things. My bet would be on either a bum float in the tank giving you a bad reading, or you have a plugged fuel filter.

Is if fuel injected or carb? You could have clogged injectors starving you motor. If you get to much air (which happens when you are moving) versus fuel, it wont fire right and will die. Just a few things to consider.

And for the American standard, 10 liters is approx. 2.5 gallons. Correct?

Sorry It is a 350 with a carb.
The fuel filter is OK.
It just happened again during my lunch brake And I cant be out of fuel!

And yes I guess 10L is about 2.5 gallons.

Sorry this is off topic, you're from Estonia? Last year in college my Economics teacher was like obsessed with that country, always had us doing assignments on it and watchin videos. Sorry had to throw that out there.

Remember that while none of the factory gauges are all that accurate, the gas gauge is probably the worst. If its reading that you have 10L left, you really might be running out of gas. If as soon as you fill up the tank the problem goes away, then I'd say just dont let it get quite that low.
