good old Blue Smoke!!!

when my car first starts after setting for 2 hours that fine a and great cause its the valve seals. But for the first time ever my friend told me that blue smoke came out of my car when i pulled out of a parking lot. I can't see the engine being bad because it pulls like a mother chucker so could that had of been a fluke or whats goin on?if so can an lt1 bolt into a 1988 iroc-z ?

if you were sitting there ideling then yea blue smoke probably came out for a sec. the oil dripped down from the valve seals in the combustion chamber. it doesn't mean the engine is bad just the seals dried up. anyway im sure alot of cars on this board do it. About the LT1 you would have to ask one of the pros about that.

Thats what mine did.......if set in one place very long and then hit the gas I could almost cover the car in smoke........change the seals and no more smoke..........your motor sounds like its ok.

If I push the gas too hard right after I started the car and its cold it will smoke out the pipes. Once the engine warms up it doesn't smoke anymore.

mine does the same thing its just the seals going bad...i was gonna replace them but i think im just gonna get heads so no point in messing with it then right if you idle out then hit the gas hard after its been sitting its just the rest of the oil burning. i think its just the seals i hear they are easy to change but you have to careful and not let the valves fall into the cyclinder
