Glad to see you finally got that bird going, now we can all take in a big deep breath and move on to the next project.
you should run a little faster with that setup though...how did she hook up?

not sure what mpg i am getting i need to do something to get my speedo working with out the computer it doesnt work so i dont have an odo either.. but sometime i guess i have to change to a cable driven.. and yes i have some playing to do with the carb yet and i should run faster i havent played with the jets yet.. but i will.. and i still spun a bit 1.8 60 foots... which isnt bad but i do have a really really terrible stumble off the line i need to get a vacum test gauge and probably change the power valve atleast that is what i have been told does that sound right?? but for the first time at the track with hardly any tuning i wouldnt say its bad.. for sure not the best that i think it can run but better then i have ever ran!! i ran the MT sportsman pros.. and i was also running open headers lol i drove it there and drove it home.. loud as hell!!! hopefully getting new exhaust on her real soon going true duals with an x pipe.. so we will see till next time!!! if u guys have any ideas bout the stumble give some input thanks!!

Very good without much tune time ..You may want to be careful running around open...If you have "shorty" headers. Fires are common.

The off the line stumble can be tuned out with different accelerator pump cams and shooters. You may have to upgrade to a 50cc pump and linkage kit to get enough volume to launch the car. The power valve is open as soon as you floor the gas pedal and will have no real effect on your launch. With your modest
torque converter this (accelerator pump) is a critcial tuning factor.
Your tires are very pressure sensitive and will work better after some of the tread is burned off. Try around 15 psi.

Interesting to see how you made out at the track as my new motor (406 vortec ) is real simular. Good Luck

I don't know that much about that carb but if you can disconnect the sec. linkage and see if the eng. stumbles on the primarys only. Sec. throttel plates may be opening to soon ??
