can someone post a pic of map sensor on a 305
hey,
can someone if anyone post a pic of the location of the map sensor on the 305 v8. my 85 ta is telling my i have a code 34 and i checked the vaccum lines and found no apparent leak. also could the barometic pressure sensor have anything to do with this code. I have tried going by the diagrams in the chiltons manual but you have to be a rocket scientist to read them..oh wait that could just be cuz i am an idiot sometimes

Isn't 34 for MAF sensor?

ummmmmmm you sure dan.............
not trying to be mean, but i beleive all CC cars after 1981 have a MAP sensor
my carbed 1987 LG4 had one..............................
TPI cars have MAP sensors.................
The MAP sensor was used on speed density control schemes. The very similar BARO sensor (as they were called when used on carbed cars) should be mounted on the firewall near the right side eof the engine bay. There is no hose connected to a BARO sensor.
Carbed engines also used a form of the same type of sensor, but it was called a pressure differential sensor. They were mounted on the firewall near the power brake booster, and should have a vacuum line attached.

Vader,
thanx, yeah i was able to find the baro sensor(i am hoping you mean the barometric pressure sensor) any way at this point i need to get a s*#t load of repairs done being that i failed inspection and dont feel comfortable at this point to get to involved in ripping stuff of my engine
:hail:
oh yeah, this is unrelated but i'll ask anyway, how do i add a graphic to my signature
