L31 Heads and LT4 cam and ?intake

I was thinking of getting the L31 heads, the LT4 hot cam and a decent intake that will fit with these heads. I will also try to have 1.6 RRs. What kind of power gains should I expect? And will these heads work with my 5.7 TPI?

Thanks

Brian

I am looking at the TPI Vortec Lower Intake Baseplate.

Chevy High Performance magazine has an article this month on what you need to do to Vortec heads to use a performance camshaft. If you haven't read it, go get a copy.

They had an article a couple of months ago on the Vortec TPI base on the 350HO crate engine. It was about 30 HP short of the carb version.

As far as I know, the intake base from SDPC is the only one available. You'll probably need to have the valve guides machined down to avoid contact with that cam and 1.6 rockers. I'm not sure what the exact lift is, but I'm pretty sure the added ratio will put it over the limit. Any machine shop should be able to do this for a decent price before you put the heads on. I would get new springs, too.
