2.8 to L03
Hey guys, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions on swapping a 2.8 to an L03....
Will the fuel pump be sufficient or do I need a new one?
Will the driveshaft bolt up, and is it the same as the v8 driveshafts?
And one off subject question, how hard is it really to swap from an auto to a manual tranny,?
The part about that I'm most worried about is clutch pedal/master cylinder installaion, are there dimples in the metal where they would go?

I can't help you with engine swap but check out Technical Articals on the home page. Look under transmission and you will find a very good and complete artical on the swap from auto to manual trans.

the fuel pump will work with a 3 port AFPR, I used a Malory. If you keep the auto, you will need one from a v-8. If the original and new are 700r4's, the driveshaft will bolt on with no mods.
Do a search on the topic, plenty of info here.

A TBI needs around 12-15 PSI from the pump. A TPI needs 45-50 PSI fromthe pump. A Carb needs a whopping 6 PSI from the pump. So in my opinion a TPI pump with a AFPR is the best way to go so that way you can go whatever route you need or want for an engine.
