i have an '87 Formula. it is equipped with the TPI 305 and the T5 manual. as you probably all know, when the "power hood" made it's reappearance in 1987 it reappeared NON-FUNCTIONAL!!! well, i SCORED a functional "power hood" off an '83? T/A with the Cease-fire injection airbox (top half) attached. my question is, to all you engineers out there, help me design some apparatus to sit on top of the plenum and work with this awesome unit. i also am gonna have to include the MAF sensor.

It's not really feasible to do that with the TPI's, especially with MAF. Works great on TBI cars though...
With all that fabbin' you'd be better off with a cold air pipe instead of trying to tube hot air and then turn it 90 degrees to feed it to the engine.

Remember this board is for the free exchange of ideas
you get bad as well as good....
All volunteer, no one owes anybody anything....
At any rate I was looking into something similar for
an lt1 swap...
My thought was to do something like this...
http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...TNUMBER=100023
With a slight extension to move it more to the drivers side.
I haven't done much with this as I don't have the engine in
yet.
Only a guess but I think something similar could be fabbed
for your application.
Wanna go first...
