Smoke at WOT only ????

I noticed today that I had a fair amount of what looked to be smoke of whitish color at WOT. The car does not smoke at all on start up or any other time however i sometimes notice it at WOT oil levels are good, no oil on Ground effects/bumper. What could this be rings???

white smoke is an indication of antifreeze, i agree with demented, could be a blown head gasket

Now is it blueish white or is it pure white? If its pure white, like said before its steam, look to make sure your water level stays constant and do a compression test, if its blueish white its oil, at high speeds (engine) you may have some oil rings flattening allowing oil by.

If you disconnect the PCV and it stops then it's a blow by condition. If it persists then it's a gasket or oil ring problem. It could also be valve seals even though it doesn't smoke on startup. My best guess is crank case vapors being breathed through the engine.

Good point ATO, the PCV valve will suck quite a bit in if there is alot of blowby, eccessive oil in the breather tubes is a good sign as well (not wet but dripping)

It was hard to tell if it had a bluish tint to it I saw it in my rear view at night and i also have tint on my windows so it was hard to see if it had a bluish tint. I'll check the pcv (since i put in my open element i just have the neck and foam filter sitting out in my engine bay, it connected just the top part is not hooked into the air filter any longer )

PCV is the one that is in the base of carb or in the manifold and goes to the top of the valve cover. Silver thing that rattles, stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation. The one that goes into the air cleaner is just a breather. The other thing is that you're running rich and that's fuel smoke. Fuel smoke is black. Stand behind the car off to the side and have some one go to WOT at idle. If it shoot out a big black cloud, then you're dumping too much fuel. If it's white that's bad, means coolant. If it's white with a blue tint, that could be PCV, like I said before or oil from bad rings or head gasket.
