What do you think of my Combo?

Here is the engine i had built for my 92 firebird (carbd).

Tell me what yall think for streetability and power. Maybe someone has desktop dyno?

383 Stroker (Roller Motor)
10.25:1 Compression Ratio
Dart Iron Eagle 215cc Cylinder Heads
Forged Bushed Connecting Rods
Speed-Pro Hyperutectic Pistons
Weiand X-CELerator Intake Manifold
Crane Roller Rocker Arms

Cam Specs:
Hyrdraulic Roller
Duration - 278 int. / 286 exh.
Lift - .567 int. / .585 exh.

Carb: Holley 800 Double Pumper

Accel Hei distributor.

Any ideas? This thing should be a monster... Mating it with a contintental 2800-3000 stall converter, and a race prepped 700r4 tranny. Car has 3.73's.

should be around 450 hp @ 5500 and 475 tq @ 4000 assuming small tube headers and performance muffler(s), these numbers may be a little off but I think I'm close.

sounds about right..

I would toss the Xcelerator. Its probably less HP than most other single planes with minimal benefits. I doubt its sufficently shorter than a Vic Jr to fit under a standard hood even with a drop base aircleaner.
Limited specs of the cam will cause quite a bit of error with DD2K.
But your probably between 430 and 450hp.

I agree. everything looks great other than the intake. Get the vic. Jr. or for street, Edelbrock RPM....mucho better!

Is there anyway to calculate duration @ 50 from adv duration? i guess i could call the engine shop and ask them.

Thanks for your replies.. the engine shop seems to think it will be closer to 500/500, but im happy with anything in the 450 range.

The intake was switched to a performer rpm

Not trying to undermine anyone but without knowing your brand of cam,Lobe centerlines it would be hard to guess. I would put a 284 extreme Comp cam in it or an equal roller. The lift per duration seems high so I assume 1.6 rockers Definitely lose the intake for a Performer RPM and think real hard about those hyper pistons(the extra money for forged is really cheap insurance)What if one of those hyp. piston breaks? If it breaks your back to square one. forged won't break. Thinking nitrous later or another poweradder? FORGED pistons are the way to go with this combo.
Maybe vortec heads would be a better deal, but with this motor watch your timimg (prob around 31 total with the vortecs and prob 34-36 Darts). I'd say 425 hp with GOBS of torque. Prob. 11.9@113 with a 3000 converter and TH350. prob 12.7 @110 with your 700. Open pipes and slicks. Even better steal polecats combo.

Polecat what is your combo running that LOOKS like a real screaming combo. Guessing low twelves or better with open pipes and slicks. Should blow the tires off from a roll!
