OK, quick question and I didn't know where to post it. I am considering buying an '81 camaro z-28 with a 350 and a 3 speed auto. What I need to know is what to expect for gas mileage. At some point this will have to be my daily driver. It has a lockup converter that functions in 2nd and 3rd. I don't know the rear end ratio. It is 100% stock but it has 150,000 miles . I know it still has that feedback carb (whatever GM calls it) and all the emisions crap. Plus these cars are about 500 pounds heavier than a 3rd gen. Give me a guess.

Really depends on your gears. My car get about 15mpg highway, and about 11mph city. Specs are in my sig.

 

my 85 gets about 9mpg city and 11mpg highway but its not stock...

 

mine gets 14 city and 22 hiway with 2.73 gears and overdrive, and that's with an out of tune carb on a mildly built engine

 

It doesn't sound too bad. I can live with 15. This thing is bone stock.
