Removing charcol canister..... What will it hurt?

I was just wondering what it would hurt if I removed my charcol canister? and what all should I do to take it off? I know plug the vacum and stuff. but then just put a filter on the end of the fuel hose? thanks

Josh

no smog checks. I know if I had to do it I would fail, but as of now they don't.

its just not environmentally friendly

I have had mine off for a few months (bc the electric vacuum pump for the brakes needed to sit where the canister was) and have not had any problem. You might loose a little gas to evaporation. Your sealed gas tank is now vented to the air and fuel will vaporize on hot days.
