Is a 265 degree cam good? That is whats coming with my new engine.

you might want to provide more specs on the cam, like lift, LSA, etc. as well as your intended application and engine combination.

Im not really sure. I know nothing when it comes to cams. All he said is it is better then stock and that it was a 265 degree cam. Anyhow thanks for the replys i'll ask him more about it on monday.

I called today and asked him about the cam. He said it is a 268 degree cam with 450 lift. I dont know if this helps but how does this cam sound? good or bad?

it should have alot of grunt off the line but it will more than likely run out of breath by 5500rpm or less.

that sounds fine but one question....268 degree duration for 450 lift?? Is that advertised. Whats the .050 duration. Thats the REAL spec we're looking for.

I have no clue all he said was its a 268 degree cam with 450 lift. When i pick it up on friday i'll ask him.
