Lost the speedo
I have no clue what i did, i changed the oil, and fan. And when i went back to drive my car, the speedo was not working, is there a sensor somewhere that could've fell out easily or something. Maybe behind the speedo the cable came out, are there any places i can check easily?
All my other gauges work, just the speedo is not working, thanks for the help.

Check the tail end of your trans. There is a wire that plugs into your VSS (vehicle speed sensor). It probably just pulled out.

Alright,
Sorry it took so long to reply.
Ill check that out.
I have a 1982 z28 CFI.
Also I have ruined my temp gauge because i pulled it out and couldnt figure out where it went back in (no, i didnt pull anything else out under the hood hehe).
Is it a bolt with like a little round thing sticking out on the driver side manifold?
Thanks for help I appreciate it.

Ok, I found a wire type thing, pretty thick, covered in metal for part of it, pluged into the tail end of the transmission with a bolt holding on a metal screen which in turn helps hold it on there. Then i found a little round type holder thing coming out of the car which was pretty thick too.
One problem i did see was on the rear passenger side tire the wire coming out of it, the rubber cover was gone for a piece of it, and u could see the metal outter lining, but i highly doubt this is what could be causing it not to work..
Just to make sure im correct, there are two wires that come off of the two rear tires, and then right after the end of the driveline they connect to this thing with a bolt going through it, then this bolt is connected to another "same looking thing" and it is now 1 wire, then after that it goes into the car where i cannot see it.
Am i looking in the right spot, any help is appreciated, thanks.

Never mind. You've got a mech. speedo. It might be loose behind the dash...
