What is the Correct Pushrod....

I was just wondering if the 91 Firebird (305 TBI) came with a Hydraulic Roller Cam from the factory, and if it didn't what is the correct Pushrod to use (from Comp Cams).....I was told the pushrod pn# 7808-16 would work, is this correct?

Thanks,
Anthony

you have a factory roller cam, so a push rod to match that would work. no idea on a comp PN.

That # sounds right...

Go look it up in their catalog; stock length is 7.290" IIRC; that's their "budget" push rod series, so whatever the catalog shows is probably in the stock length; if you get their good ones (74 numbers) they come in even .050" increments, it would be 7.300".

Thanks you guys

Thank you for the help guys, I had no clue what length was the right one. I'll probably be posting on here alot more, I've decided to give my car a little more power....thought it was time to make a few changes. This is the list of parts I'm putting on this weekend, if anyone can think of any more (basically bolt on stuff) that would help the performance it would be greatly appreciated.

4.10 gears (Richmond)
Hedman Hedders
Flowmast Cat-Back exhaust
Hypertech ThermoMaster Chip
Hypertech Thermostat
Hypertech Fan Switch
March Underdrive Pulleys
Comp Cams Roller Rockers
Comp Cam Hi-Enegry Pushrods

I've already done the basic tune-up, K&N airfilter, Platinum 4 plugs, Accel 8mm Plug wire, Accel Distributor Cap & Roter, things like that. Its a TBI so not too sure what I can do with that.

Ukraine Train- I am from Massillon

Thanks again!

All that in a weekend?

I heard putting in gears was a lot of work. I heard you need a special tool that costs like 225 bucks

Spark Plugs

Yeah, those are the plugs....what plugs do you recommend? The gears shouldn't be too much of a problem, I have access to my uncles shop (V&S Auto).....although I did hear that the underdrive pulleys tend to trash your alternator and charging system.

Thanks again,
Anthony

i'm gonna 'plug' autolite plugs cuz i work for the company, they're really nice. really. the best plug to use is a platinum finewire if they make it for your application. Finewire just means the center electrode is thin, about 1mm. What that does is lower the voltage required to create spark so you lessen the chance of misfire. the platinum lowers wear a whole lot.
