Getting ready to chang oil pan gasket....
Getting ready to chang oil pan gasket....
I looked through my haynes manual last night. It looks like the only things I'm going to need are the gasket, oil filter, and oil right? Does anyone have any pointers that might make this a little easier. I have never done it before.
It looked like all I needed to do was remove the Dist. Cap, disconnect the bolts on a couple of the engine mounts, disconnect some things from the cat and then lift the motor as far as it will let me while still in the car. Then change the gasket. Is there anything that I'm leaving out? Anything I should do while I'm at it?
Thanks for the advice

Yes, before you lift the motor, turn the motor till the timing mark is in the 6 o'clock position (straight down). This will put either the front journals or counterweights in the upward postion (can't remember which). This will give you extra clearance to get the pan out.
