heres the worst one. It was in #8 which I believe had the worst valve seals. Damn thats a clear picture from a webcam. You cant tell buy the electrode is toast.

It so clear you can see the grease underneath my fingernails! And the cut on my finger from something under my hood. I never come out from under that hood without cuts all over my hands.

mark, do you have a macro on your camera? it should be a picture of a flower by a button, if you have it, it makes upclose pictures clear and distant ones fuzzy. from what i can see your insulator is still white so you're not fouling out too bad

Put your spark plugs on the ground and then take a picture, or project light on them from behind the camera. More visibility = better. My webcam takes perfectly clear pictures if I focus it.

I'm back up at college now, so I can't.
First thing I'll suggest is that you stop using Bosch Platinum plugs. I and many others have had bad expereinces with them (weird premature plug death, and high RPM miss). Take that for what it's worth. I recommend using dirt-cheap $1.25 Autolites.
Is the black mark on the electrode only on one side?
Is there a lot of oil on the plug threads?

If your talking about mine yes. The electrode is burnt bad on one side. Yes there is alot of oil on it also. That one came from #8 which Im assuming had the worst valve seals out of all my plugs. The seals are fixed now so Im hoping I dont foul my new accel plugs.

I am running Bosch Platinums, and would love to get rid of them. What other plugs can I use that are 3/4" lenght?
THanks,
THanks,
I see nothing wrong with bosch platinum plugs, they're fine in my car and short enough to clear my headers well. I've been running them for well over a year now. I ran ran ac delcos, champion, and even autolite plugs a couple times before that.
With my bosch platinums I have trouble getting a spark plug socket on them because of my hooker headers. With the accel "header" plugs its easy. I figured out that its easier to just use the socket and a 19mm open end wrench to do my plugs.
heh, i laugh at you guys who think you have bad plugs
. This is the one pulled from cylinder #3... still haven't gotten around to putting new valve seals in it yet (hope its that and not rings).
