Alright guys, check it out my friend has a 87 2.8 and well it has no power and gas mil. Sucks really bad! Well they have changed:


O2 sensor
Plugs& Wires
Cap & Rotor
Fuel Pump

Also the motor only has 60,000 miles on it It was replaced a couple of years ago Gm Crate, Also there's no Trouble codes. Any one got any Ideas?

 

Does the car run warmer now? Any fluctuation in rpms?

 

Could a clogged cat cause those probems?

 

Yes, that's why I asked those questions... I'm hesitant to say cat now, cause people have commented how I mention it too much.

 

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that, It's been replaced, basically the whole exhaust system is new, and it takes awhile for the car to get up to temp. also.

My vacuum hose from the map scensor to the engine rotted in half on my escort and it cut the gas mileage in half. Plus, it smoked real black with not much power. Check all your vacuum lines. Any codes????
