Weird Vacuume readings

I am having some problems w/ my 88 TBI 305. I have an odd hesitation under load.I put my snap-on scanner on it and it showed a MAP reading that looked backwards very low at IDLE but climbs to 22-25" at part throttle and if I try to pull a hill the knock sensor comes on and the powers goes way down. Also the clear flood indicater is on I checked the vacuum line and found it to be repaired but I think it may have been put on the wrong port of the throttle body Any help??? Keith

If you're getting a "clear flood" flag, you probably should check the TPS.
