spring install height?

spring install height?

what should the install height be on the LT4 springs that come with the lt4 hot cam kit, they don't tell ya. Does anyone know what they were on the 96 lt4's???

As usual, Ed is right in the ballpark. IIRC, the factory installed height is 1.71". I checked out the LT4 ovate wire springs when I changed out the springs on the old LT1.

Actually that should be spring #12551483 and the recommended installed height is 1.78".

The springs coil bind at 1.22"

You will need to install them at 1.78" to have enough clearance for the .525 lift.
