cam choosing help in here lol

ok, i totally re thought the engine settup im going to use..

holley 750, AFR proflow rpm intake, AFR 190cc heads, 9.5-10:1 compression, rebuilt 355 shortblock, built 700r4

looking into a roller cam.. considering either the LT4 hotcam with 1.6 rockers... 218/228 525/525 112*

or the comp cams 282 roller with 1.5 rockers... 230/236 510/520 110*

i know im going to get a high stall ctq converter, but im just wondering if the motor is going to have no low end, we want the motor to be streetable, since it will be in my street driven car, not the track car... i know the LT4 hot cam is very streetable, with a lot of ppl running it, but how is that comp cam with the bigger duration? am i going to have a dead spot from idle to 2200 rpm since the cams range is 2200-5800?

yep

i don't know if it open headers or not but i'll yell at the dude and ask him......

thats suppose to be the comp xe282hr cam.......

the clearence i was talking about is cam to rod........ once you have you cam in and timing chain on, turn the motor over by hand to be sure it dosen't hit.......

the reason i say is because on my 383 it hit bad...... the lobes are almost square!!!!! i know a 383 is a stroker motor but it's always safe to check.....

later!!

You will NOT have any problem clearing with a 350 3.48" crank. There's slightly over 1/4" more stroke on a 383.

ooooohhhhhh ok, badgta, thanks for the asssurance anyways lol, and that would be cool if ya could ask him about his exhaust system cuz that file sounds niiice hehe

any information on its low end? would it be ok to drive on the street if i had a high stall converter? since the cams rpm range is 2200-5800 i dont want a dead spot from idle to 2200 rpm.... is that wat the higher stall helps with?

oh yea, what about vacuum... power brakes..? do they suffer from the cam?

anyone have an idea of how this cam will behave down low... from idle to 2200 with a stall converter? or is this a bad choice for a street driven car?
