another valve spring question???

i am thinking about ordering a new cam and new rockers for my engine. i am building this engine right now, i have a set of fully ported heads, 186 castings. i am going to order a lunati cam with .455 lift. i am also going to order a set of 1.6 crane full roller rockers. by my math that will come out to a lift of .485. the heads have a professional rebuild less than 500 miles ago. do u guys think that the stock springs will hold up to that lift, and if so how long??? or should i just spend the extra money now and get to springs??

Spend the extra $50 and get better springs, you will be better off in the long run.

Get the springs. people on here say get them. I didn't since my motor had 12k miles, since I would be getting new heads. But any time I revved it up near 5k , I didn't feel comfortable.

trash the springs and get a set from comp or lunati and while you're at it get rid of the factory rotators and get aftermarket retainers. might was well replace the pull out studs and save yourself some headaches down the road.
