Ordered mine yesterday. Doubt it will fit under a stock hood though without a drop style aircleaner and a big one at that. Kind of negates the point of it.
This is to replace my edelbrock performer. From every magizine dyno test I have seen this thing performs awsome. More TQ and HP up to ~5000RPMs and only very little loss after as compared to a vicotr junior.
Kind of the best of both worlds on the single/dual plane intake.

its the same height as a standard performer rpm
and under most cases, that will not fit a third gen hood without a drop base aircleaner. Some can fit.. but its not designed to.. thats why gm made a performer type clone for the ZZ4 motor.. so it would fit a third gen without mods.

I've had one since they came out. Definite improvement over the std. performer. No way would it fit under a bird hood.

Well i have a 82 Z composite hood. Currently i have a stock gm aluminum intake with a 1" spacer and a holley 600. I have a drop base aircleaner with a 3" element. I am going to ad my K&N Xtreme airfliter lid when i put in my new motor.

Are you going to get a different carb, with the future setup?

I don't think i will switch crabs right away, if at all. I might get a 650DP-750DP but its not really worth it.

lmao.
But I wouldn't get a 750DP, maybe a vac. secondary 750, I was recommended a 650DP, you should notice a good HP gain with one.
