Clevite, TRW, Federal Mogul. Those are what I'd stick with instead of trying to save a few bucks in the crank area. That would probably never turn out as an economical move.

I'd never use anything not American made in the reciprocating assembly, especially not something as super-critical as bearings.

If you're referring to "King Bearing"...a distributor of bearings, seals, etc...you can specify who/what/etc make of part you want with them. Good folks to deal with.

Never heard of a manufacturer called King Bearing.

There is, in fact, a manufacturer called King Bearing, it is owned by a guy named Chris King... only problem is, he manufactures high-performance bicycle bearings!

king bearings checkout the web site

I would like to call everyones attention to www.kingbearings.com
and then tell me what you think of these bearings. Looks and sounds better than some of the bearings some of you folks have mentioned. Since I will put this 305 together with these bearings I will let everyone know how it goes. If they work well I will put them in my stroker 383 that I am assembling this winter.
