Car: 89 Formula
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: 700R4
very low oil pressure

latly my 89 formula lo3 (305 tbi) has been running with very low oil pressure at idle not much more then 15 lbs any suggestions as to what can be causing this and what can be done to fix it.

screw a mechanical gauge in the block and see what you really have 10psi per 1000 rpm is considered acceptable and normal.

If it was running higher, than it could be your oil sending unit. Mine went bad less than a month ago. Replaced it and just like normal.
