Comp 256XE might be your best bet for a stock setup... I'm not sure how the 262XE would work. Have you thought about headers and a cat-back?

Honestly, I'd start there first, but that is a bit more money.

I'm not really sure what a cat-back is and how it works.

It is everything of the exhaust after the catalytic converter. Includes a 3'' intermediate pipe, muffler, and most times tips.

The stock LG4 exhaust is 2.25'' I believe.

I like the Hooker cat-back, $200 if you can do some minor cuttin and weldin yourself, or a $260 for bolt on.

sound clip in sig. I'd get headers first though.

can i just put some pipe after the cat and put a muffler on it...this would be cheaper.....if i take off the cat will it cause any problems with the o2 sensor????

Can't really use just a straight pipe for the cat back portion, there are twists and bends that the pipe has to follow to maintain ground and body clearances.
Removing the cat will not effect the O2 sensor, but if you have the A.I.R. pump you'll need to remove it and block off the tubes coming off the manifolds.

Yup, then you prolly wouldn't have mandrel bent piping either.

You could get a Pacesetter cat-back for $140 and throw any muffler you want on it, if you don't like the one it comes with.
