Need to know what cam to get
Ok, here is the deal.
I have an 89 GTA 5.7, dual cats, auto, 3" cat back, all others stock. I want to get a cam, springs, and 1.6 roller rockers while staying CA legal. I need to know what to get. Here are the cams that I am looking at.
1) ZZ4 Duration @ 0.050" 208/221 Lift: .474"/.510" Lobe Separation: 112 Cost: $135
2) LT4 Hot cam 218/228 Lift: .525/.525 Lobe Seraration: 112 Cost: $230
3) Crane Duration: 264/274 Lift: .423''/.446'' Cost: $140
4) Crane Duration: 270/276 Lift: .440''/.454'' Cost: $140
These just 4 of the many cams I have been looking at. Which one of these would you guys think would be the best for me. I am looking at keeping my low end tq but really beefing up the mid and upper end. I run the 1/4 @96 mph right now and would like to improve that a bit. Also what are good springs to use and what are good 1.6 RRs to use.
Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I should have all this by the end of Dec and get it in by mid Jan. I will probably have my buddy help me port and polish my stock heads also.
