I am still having issues

Well ever since I got my car I have been having this idle problem. My RPMS flutter around like crazy at idel and somewhat while driving. I have tried everything everyone has recommended. Still I have the issue. At this point I don't know what to do. My daily driver has been wrecked and will be in the shop for an unknown amount of time. So now repairing my car is of the utmost importance. I have an additional problem with it now besides the idle issue. Now I am getting what seems to be an a lose rocker arm. Or at least that is what everyone is telling me. So how do I fix this easily? Or can I? The idle issue doesn't cause me to do anything more than waste gas. But does anyone have any proceddures or instructions on fixing this rocker arm thing? At this point I am nearly about ready to shove the thing in the shop.

I don't normally suggest a search, but do a search for rocker arm adjustment.

There are some excellent threads that describe how to do it much better than I could.

With the idle problem........

If you let one thing that needs repair but doesn't disable the vehicle continue to go without fixing it, something else is suffering that will eventually break.......and the longer you go the closer you'll get to finding something that will make your car DEAD.

If you can't figure it out and have tried everything, take it in to a trust worthy shop. Before you do that though, patiently go over everything. If there is a part of a system you don't fully understand, ask questions until you got it. Once you understand the whole system, it's easier to find your problem.

Think, breathe, relax and ask. There are a lot of very knowledgable, very educational people on this message board.

Where is the link to your post discussing your problems?

I appreciate the advice. As you suggested I did a search for the proceedure. I haven't got quite what I need yet. Unfortunatley I am a novice and need lots of help with this issue. As far as the idle problem goes I have fallowed all the advice I have recieved and I can't get it under control. I am probably going to have to put it in the shop to get it straightened out. I don't normally drive the car and wouldn't except for the fact that I need wheels right now and have no other choices until my insurance claim is processed for my daily driver. Here is the link to my issues I have been having so far.

As always insight and ideas on the matter are appreciated.

A shop isn't a bad idea. Getting it working right.

After that it is much easier to start learning on something that has a good foundation!
