sometimes when i press in the clutch to slow down or to stop it stalls out and i have to put it in gear and dump the clutch to start it back up again. the check engine light is on, i'm going to use the code scanner a little later on to see what it could be. last time i pulled up a code 36, changed the maf burnoff relay and it came back in the 3rd or 4th time i started it. Could a bad battery/battery connection cause the stalling? the negative terminal is kinda ghetto rigged right now, maybe a bad connection is at fault?

Repair the connection. Scan for error codes. Check the IAC and TPS (if you car has EFI).
