Wipers just stopped
I was trying to shoot some washer fluid ,none was coming out,so I guess I pushed a little to hard on the control arm and the wipers stopped in the middle of the windshied, had to lower them manuelly. How hard is it to replace the arm and how much is a new one?Good thing I live in So-Cal,it might not rain again for months, but it needs to get fixed. Thanks
The lever should pull right out of the switch. Be careful as you do this, since the wires for the cruise switch are attached internally and don't have a lot of extra slack.
There is a trim cover over the left side of the column that will also pull off. The wiper switch is right under there. If you're lucky, you just got the switch stuck betweeen low speed and park (the off position) and the lever disengaged from the switch. If you're not so lucky, you may have a broken/failed switch.

Anybody know where I can get this switch besides a junkyard,I hate going to them.GM wants $127,Napa and Kragen don't carry it.

How is the wiper fuse? Even in the off position, the wipers will return(assuming the wiper motor has power and is functioning). Could also be the wiper motor, the washer pump is part of it. Test to see if the wiper motor is getting power from the switch before you replace the switch--the switch may be ok. In my experience, the wipers stopping mid-wipe is the fuse or motor. When the switch goes bad the wipers won't wipe at all(stopped in the hidden position) or they won't stop wiping.

HOLY crap! Tell them you only want the switch, not the entire stalk.
Anyway, the wipers are independent of the turm signals and headlamps. They are each on separate circuits with separate feeds and fuses. They don't share a switch - only the lever is common to all three.

Well I feel like a idiot,I didn't notice the connector on the bottom of the wiper motor came off,it was hidden behind vacumm hoses,I plugged it in and now they're working. Also I was tring to get to the switch and broke some little piece of plastic, now when I turn on my lights all i have are high beams
Ouch! That plastic piece is probably the depressor for the switch mechanism. Replacing that will likely mean removing the steering wheel and upper column bowl. This might give you an idea of the mechanism. You're maybe looking for item #19:
