when should i change the fuel filter?

Transmission: 700R4 with Midwest 3400 2.4str...M6
Axle/Gears: SLP Zexel Posi unit 3.42's...3.73's
I usually change mine every other oil change. Shoot the filter is under $10.00. I try to do it as often as possible...

fuel injected cars seem to need them a lot more regulary. i cant count how many i have pulled and not be able to blow through at ALL . not sure how they ran in . i tell my customers once a year under normal driving cond.

especially if you drive to near empty in GAS! As I do...thats more or less why I change mine so much.

Thanks for the frequency info... 1 more thing.
Maybe a quick step-by-step on how to change the filter? Havn't done this before, only changed once about 30k ago while gettin' her tuned up.
