What cam do I want?

It's still the stock L69. A 600 CFM VS Holley is going on top of a Performer or Performer EPS manifold. Stock heads right now, but I will eventually swap them for something with 1.94/1.50 valves and some port work. It isn't going to be a daily driver, more of a weekend warrior. I have 3.73's. I also plan on adding a nitrous kit to the car. I'm looking for something that's going to be put up big HP numbers (for a 305 anyway), but not be too radical. Any recommendations?

Also, the flow on the intake manifold is off idle to 5500. And I do plan on adding 1 5/8" headers and 1 chamber Flows to the combo also.

As long as you stick with the stock converter, the Comp XE256 would be the best choice.

Look at their site, they have some dyno graphs.

With that cam, some head porting, and headers you should be looking at around 250-260 HP.

What about the Crane Powermax 2050? I realize I might need a torque converter for that one with its 272/284 duration and 454/480 lift.
