how much does it cost to get the valve guides cut down to run a higher lift cam, and hot tanked? thanks in advance

30 dollars or so for cleaning, if you have bronze guides the hot tank will eat them up. most shops us ultasonic cleanes or big hot water cleaneing systems and not hot tanks anymore. i cut my own guides down but i believe it'd cost you in the 50 to 75 dollar range.

Doesn't Comp sell a couple little tools that fit in your electric drill to do that? Saw them in Chevy High Performance recently.

i've tried to use a couple of them and wouldn't bother, others have reported great sucess with them. i'd look at k line first, bound to be as good or better and i'll bet cheaper too.
