breather alternative with centerbolt valvecovers?

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a better way to vent crankcase pressure than to run it up to the air cleaner. I'm still running the stock aircleaner on my car because I need to run the breather tube somewhere. It runs so much better without it though, and my filters don't get polluted nearly as often. Not to mention the restriction of the stock 305 aircleaner. I haven't found a way to secure a breather to the centerbolt valvecovers though. Anybody know of a way to do this? I have a PCV on the other side, but if I ran just a PCV (or even two) the pressure would back up while driving and oil would spurt out of the dipstick tube and onto the headers.

Anybody know of a good way to setup their centebolt motor for PCV and a breather?

I need to know too

I need to know this one too. I am in the process of figuring this out with no solution all the breathers out there dont fit short of making the hole bigger.

It doesn't sound like your PCV system is working anyway. The tube to the air cleaner is to let air into the crankcase to replace the air drawn out by the PCV valve. Check for vacuum at the PCV valve.

What i did is went to an auto parts store and got an edelbrock breather, took the tubing off the original one, cut it down, and crammed the new breather into the short hose coming outta the old adapter peice. only did it cause the breather wouldnt fit into the hole in the valve cover.... but it looks nice and works great. and once you do this you can put a regular air cleaner on!

If you want a breather, K&N makes one that fits in the PCV hole. That's what I did. I'll see if I can find a pic.
