battery gauge

i just installed my amp and noticed that my gauge will jump back and forth. For a while it read like 10 and than sometime later it read 15. Like for a week it read 10 then one day i started my car and it read 15. So what could be wrong? and how would i fix it?

I'm guessing too much electrical load for your existing alternator to produce at some engine RPMs.
