are your headers long tubes? if not youre definitely gonna want to favor the exhaust with more duration, id personally look at a cam like the second one but with a little tighter lobe separation. maybe a 110 degree. check with comp cams, i believe you can email the at camhelp@compcams.com, they are pretty helpful. or if youre looking for something a little cheaper, id try www.lazercams.com, ive talked to the guy, hes cool, smart too.

Go with the first one, you'll have alot less tuning issues. Getting that second one to idle right and otherwise behave below 2000 RPM with FI is going to be a hassle.

I would not use the second one in a FI 350 with any less than 3.73 gears and a 2800 stall converter.

hmmm

if i'm not mistaken those are crane correct???

those guys are morons with a capital m...... back a few months ago i was waiting on comp to get their small base circle cores in and figured id call crane and see if they had somthing that would work as good as the comp.....

after talking to the guy for like 30min he claimed they never had to make a small base circle cam for a 87up 350 block nor should i have any probs with a stroker motor because the cam was suppose to be raised in these blocks.... and then he went on to say they made comps cores and thats why they was behind......

these guys are people i just wouldn't trust...... call and ask them about what iv'e just spoke and see if they say the same.. maybe i just got a cam newbie, but i'll never trust them.......

like rb said, call comp.. theyr'e the best......

you should look at some lunati or elgin cams as well.... they are very helpful and i have never had a problem using any of their cams... i wouldnt recommend crane to anyone.... give lunati and elgin a call see what they say as well... get a couple opinions.... but yea id say that comp lunati and elgin are the best. but also lunati is a little less expensive... comp is great but expensive.
