What small bloc heads

Well I am building a 350 for my truck.I am building 2 motors so the vortecs I have are going to be used.My question is what other heads should I buy.

I am going to have about a grand to spend.I am strongly considering some pro top-lines withwith 64cc chambers.Summit list the steel one's that are as cast for 829.Well that is in this old catalog. My new catalog seems to have grown legs and run away

Also I was thinking about some dart iron eagles. They list for 899 a pair assembled with 64cc chambers.

Also what is the hp and most importantly torque potential of a 350 with stock bore and pistons. With a comp cams 270h cam.(224 duration at .050.470 lift both intake and exhaust)With pro-toplines vs iron eagles.A airgap intake and a holley 650.

Thanks for any help.I can't wait to get my tax money back.I bet summit can't either.Haha.

Also do you gusy think I with with the wrong cam?I didn't want to go to big.But not small. This motor will have a little higher compression due to the 64cc chambers.I guess I am just worried because I don't see to many people running this cam.

Thats kind of a big cam for a truck motor.
What is the rear gear ratio , tire diameter, and torque converter stall speed you have to work with?

The pro topline heads look very impressive.

BUT,,, Again a big port head is the wrong head for a truck.
get the smallest port volume available. Some thing like 165 to 175cc's intake port volume.
Actually you should consider using the vortecs on the truck motor and get some big port 200cc pro-topline heads for your hot rod motor.
Get a small torquey cam for the truck and a big power cam for the hot rod motor like a Comp 270H magnum.

Something between say 204 to 216 @.050 Makes a good truck cam. Combine that with a 9.5:1 vortec motor and you'll have a winner truck motor..

Well for right now. This truck is my hot rod.The rear gears are going to be 4:10's.With a rebuilt 700r4 trans. With around a 2500 stall convertor. For tires I plan on running 26 inch tall hoosier quicktimes.

I have a comp cams 270h cam. With comp cams lifters.Going to be running the por top lines with 1.6 ratio roller rockers.Which should bring me to around 510 lift.
