Sounds like the pick-up coil to me....You know what I'm talking about?

If you have tried other distribitors and get no spark, It has to be in your ECM or wiring...if all the other components have checked out.
By the way, Welcome to the boards..

If you had the ignition module tested at a Parts store, that's like having it not tested at all. When my car wouldn't start, the ignition module tested good, but when I replaced it, the car started right up. I know there's at least a dozen people on these boards who can back me up there. Also, check to see if you're getting fuel cause if your not getting that either, it probably is the ignition module.

I'm sure the spark plugs and wires are good, right? And you've made sure all the wiring and connecters are in tact and making good connection?

hmm

are you sure you had the coil checked?

if i'm not mistaken the pickup coil just tells the coil to fire, so it loos like it's doing it's job i think the coil just has went out and not delivering a better spark that will ignite the fuel..... because if the pickup was bad then i don't think you would have spark at all...

personally i never ran into this prob but i'm just trying to help...

You really need to get a volt meter and do some testing....I had this problem myself...I rebuilt the distributer and the problem went away.....could have been any of the components. Keep us posted on this one..ok?
