If you guys have the part number....please post it. It is the (black on my car) thing that has a hose coming into the top of it and holes in the bottom for ventilation. It attaches to a bracket near the drivers side rear of the car. If you ever bought one...what did you pay and where did you get it from? Thanks.

I don't have the part #; but i bought it from GM once, seems like it was $25 or $30.

It was making a noise like something back there was blowing its nose when I would park the car after driving it. I'd park it, a couple of minutes later I'd hear "hhhoooonnnnnnkkkkkkkk" for a few seconds, then nothing for 5 or 10 more, then it would do it again..... I wondered what it was for a couple of years before I finally parked it, got out and crawled under the car, and waited for it to do it.

I'm wondering if I have a plugged one myself. When I start to drive my gas tank will expand and pop, also does the same thing after sitting. So far I've gotten cracks in 2 tanks.I drilled a hole in the cap this time.

RB,

Face it, gasoline is probably the best available fuel for your engine. Stop experimenting with the fermented cabbage and bean supplements in the fuel...please.
