will the stock oil pan for a 1991 gmc jimmy work in my 89 rs? the 350 i have came out of the jimmy. thanks

Jimmy's never came with SBC's so I know the stock one wouldn't work. But if you're talking about a 350 that was put in the Jimmy, then it should work.

maybe it was a blazer, it is stock though, it came from the factory that way. it was out of a 4x4 blazer i believe...

Truck pans will almost never work in these cars.... the sump extends too far toward the front of the block, and the shallow part of the pan is too deep to fit the frame.

So I wouldn't bet on it. Get the right pan and then you won't have to worry.

My 79 4X4 GMC Jimmy had a 350 in it from the factory.
Jimmy's used to be big, just like the Chevy Blazer.
