hey guys..im movin to vegas in may....just wondering if they have smog inspections there...i want to put in the gm 350 HO with a carb setup...but i know it wont pass...do they tests there??thanks

 

Visual inspection and sniffer every f*cking year.

However, I know of quite a few people who get thier own "smog check" through the the right people if you catch my drift. Shouldn't be to hard year to year if you make friends with the local F-Body crew as I'm sure they'll know where to go.

You sure you cant buy a restrictive carb just for checks? Swap on a 350 CFM and vwalaa!

 

damn...im shipping out in the air force aug 12...and i think my car will have to get checked if my "home base" so to speak(where i live) is in las vegas......i really don't know what to do..would u suggest for me to go to EFI..like a used tpi..or my stock tbi?? i have a feeling carb will be dificult to get by

I'm here in vegas too, thinking about bringing my camaro here from WV where smog parts do not exist. I know if i bring it here its going to suck getting ole betsy emissions legal. I thought I heard them talking about not requiring base smog checks anymore?? not sure though...
