Is this on a straight 8? 32 valves would be 8 valves per cylinder on a V-8. There would be so much valve stem in the way you wouldn't get squat for flow from the 5/8" diameter valve faces.

What? 8 valves per cylinder X 8 cylinders = 64 valves

Yea they should be call 16v heads but since there are two heads it sounds more impressive to combine the numbers same goes for quad cam on this setup.

These would rule to have but I dident win the lotto yet did you?????

Personally, I like the one-valve design, like the rotary valve plate on a two-stroke Suzuki. The flows on such a design would be phenomenal if the materials that could tolerate the heat and pressure demands existed. I've got a working 3D AutoCad drawing of the head in action, along with the partially eliptical (kidney-shaped) gear drive.

We really should be concentrating more on non-reciprocating engine development, anyway.

Yeah, 32-valve "heads" would be a 64-valve V-8, but that's what he said.

vader, I remember a set up where the typical poppet valve was replaced by a rotary valve. The heads looked like dohc heads but instead of cams it used a shaft with ports for valves. Is this the setup you're talking about?

And you thought the 16v heads were expensive.
